This shell found me and provided endless studies in my sketchbook, ultimately ending in one of the 12” x 12” panels. It's broken and has seen many crashing waves yet still it exudes grace and dignity.

Sometimes I look at my feet in awe of how much they do for me. They're really not that big yet they carry me over a lot of terrain. So it's only fair to spend a little extra to get comfortable shoes…
The open hand - I am either open to life or closed to life. I wish to stay open.
